For those who never ever heard about LED lights,
so let me tell you that LED stands for Light- Emitting Diode. It is of a low emission
lighting that does not contribute to any greenhouse gas or global warming
problems as it does not contain UV radiation. But like everything around us, this
type of lights has both advantages and disadvantages.
ADVANTAGES:
- Have long lifespan about 50,000 hours than the incandescent lights who have 1200 hours and CFLs who has 8000 hours.
- Consume low energy and power.
- Produce more light per watt than the incandescent bulbs.
- It cannot be affected by cold temperature which means it can be used for both indoors and outdoors.
- Emit low heat.
- Don’t contain mercury or any other toxin that is harmful for any living being and the environment.
- Beneficial for environmental protection and energy saving.
- Make great color lights from anywhere on the light spectrum.
- Most importantly, you can save your money and electric bill.
DISADVANTAGES:
- It has more cost. LED lights are more expensive than CFLs and incandescent lights.
- Have limited variety and selection for home as compared to other lights.
- Emit their light in one direction. It is not good for ambient light.
- Not of very high voltage.
- Hard to find in smaller towns.
But
all in all, LED SMD C9, C7 and G50 lights are very useful for the home. As they are eco- friendly
and save money in the long run. Due to its popularity, the cost is predicted to
fall as manufacturers produce more and more. Even you can also find light
fixtures to offset their directional. LED lights are a great choice for
residential as well as commercial lighting. But the main thing depends on how
you feel about it. Whether to install LED bulbs or not in your home is up to
you after all you are the one who is living in it.
